Introduction Blog

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. My name is Josh. I am a 3rd year grad student in the Kent State TESOL program. My goal is to use teaching English as a second language as a missionary. I want to travel the world, starting in Taiwan, and talk about the hope and joy the Lord Jesus has given me. So I want to use English as a tool to help me: support myself, travel, meet new people, show my students they are important and valued as people, and by my career.
I am trying to base my life around my faith. I want the Lord to be in control of everything I do. So I am involved in several ministries: Bible studies, serving the homeless, and other options as they come available. Between these ministries, homework, and grading; my schedule has filled up very quickly this semester. But all of these activities are important to me, so I am enjoying my life right now.
I am very thankful to be part of my family. My father might have been the only 6'8 kindergarten teacher ever! He is retired now. My mother home-schooled my sister and I for many years. And my sister is a fashion merchandising major at Ursuline. We also have two cats who are secretly in charge of the rest of the family.
So that was just a little bit of information about me. I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. I have a feeling a few (3) more posts will be coming soon.
